Kevin Mitchell

Event Coordinator/El Capitan

We’re not sexist and we don’t mean to stereotype, but when you find a guy who loves events – and is great with the details – you need to snatch him up. Even when said guy needs to eat about 20 times a day, and nary a fruit or vegetable. We figured food was a small price to pay for Kevin’s talent, so we hired him as soon as he graduated college.

Kevin joined the Company 20 team as an intern in the fall of 2009. After working his tail off during the inaugural Champion’s for Children’s event – a fund-raiser for Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago hosted by Kerry and Sarah Wood – and managing the auction and merchandise details at the David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic (where he was stuffed in a small, windowless meeting room in the Dominican Republic for over 9 days and didn’t complain once), we figured his hustle, dedication, resilience and energy made him the perfect fit at our team.

Kevin graduated Cum Laude from SUNY Cortland with a B.S in Sport Management. With his leadership skills, it’s no surprise that he was a captain of the SUNY Cortland Men’s Lacrosse team that won the 2009 Division III National Championship, the second championship in his four year career. Having played in four national championship games in the U.S., as well as working for the 2007 UEFA Under 21 European Soccer Championship in the Netherlands, Kevin has seen the ins and outs of big time events from a variety of perspectives. Also while at Cortland, he was in charge of managing a 20 team JV Lacrosse Tournament held there. He figured if he could handle directing his 45 teammates including 20 college freshmen and enjoy it, event management was the way to go.

At Company 20, Kevin’s putting his leadership skills to work captaining the Key to Wyn Expo at the Wyndham Championship, managing our websites and acting as our go-to-guy for any and all other needs.

A country boy at heart and world traveler since birth (he spent the first nine years of his life overseas in Africa and Nepal), Kevin never thought he would settle down in NYC, but here he is: a city slicker in the making, living in Hoboken, taking his bite of the Big Apple, and loving it!
