Another Great Wyndham Championship!

August 2010 - This was the fourth year of the Wyndham Championship, and it just keeps getting better and better!  Company 20 was proud to be in Greensboro, NC with Wyndham Worldwide again this year.  In addition to managing Wyndham’s guest hospitality and sales incentive program, our team was out on the course making sure Wyndham was getting all the right exposure. 

We brought back the fan favorite Wyndham Beach out on Hole15 and it was glorious (it really was the best it ever looked thanks to our landscaper David Fox and Plymouth Nurseries!).  We also introduced the Key to Wyn, an expo area on course that provided attendees with a chance to experience Wyndham’s amazing hospitality… and win great prizes!  Over 20,000 attendees walked through the Key to Wyn, and over two hundred prizes were awarded over the course of the Wyndham Championship. Six (6) grand prize winners walked away with an amazing Wyndham vacation! 

We were plenty busy off the course as well, producing some great parties with the Tournament.   The Tournament Pairings Party got funky with the legendary Kool & the Gang providing musical entertainment.  Wyndham’s dinner at the Grandover Hotel featured a performance by the hysterical Henry Cho and the Tournament’s Saturday Night Sponsor Party at the Petty Family’s Adaumont Farms was spectacular!  Multi-platinum recording star, Edwin McCain, provided the musical interlude and helped set just the right tone down on the farm.

And did we mention the golf?  Our 2010 Wyndham Champion, Arjun Atwal, played his heart out.  In his first PGA TOUR win, he became the first native Indian to win a PGA TOUR event, and the first Monday qualifier to win a PGA TOUR event in over two decades!  (Alas, we can’t take any credit for that…but we can express our excitement!!)

To cap our post-event wrap-up, we’re thrilled to report that Wyndham Worldwide announced the extension of their title sponsorship of the Wyndham Championship. It just keeps getting better and better!
